Our photo gallery is the fastest way to get a feel for our Wilson, NC apartments before you visit. It shows the kitchen finishes, the bedrooms, the clubhouse, the pool, and the grounds. What it cannot show is how a specific apartment feels at 4:00 in the afternoon, and that is what a tour is for.
At Oasis at Heritage, we like it when people show up having already scrolled through every photo. They ask better questions. If you want help narrowing down a floor plan first, reach out to our leasing team or call (252) 302-4970.
What does the gallery show about the inside of our apartments?
The interior photos are heavy on kitchens, and that is on purpose. Six of the apartment shots focus on the kitchen, because that is where the finishes show best: granite countertops, an undermount sink, a ceramic backsplash, and stainless steel appliances.
Look past the counters, too. The open living room and kitchen shot gives you a sense of how the two spaces flow together, and the bedroom and bathroom photos show the nine-foot ceilings better than any floor plan drawing can. There are also laundry room shots, since every home has its own washer and dryer.
Most people scrolling are comparing a few communities along Raleigh Road Parkway at once, often on a phone during a lunch break. Spend five minutes in our apartment and community photo gallery before you compare anything else. You will know quickly whether the style fits you.
What do the community photos reveal about amenities and grounds?
The community side of the gallery is much bigger, with dozens of photos of the shared spaces and grounds. You will find the clubhouse, the 24-hour fitness center, a separate yoga room, the saltwater pool, the playground, and the off-street parking and garages. If you have kids, give the playground shots a closer look, too.
Those photos tell you how residents actually spend their time here. A lot of weekends never leave the property: a morning workout, an afternoon by the pool, dinner at the grilling pavilion.
When you do want to get out, downtown Wilson is a short drive away. Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park is a favorite for visiting family, since the giant whirligigs are something most out-of-town guests have never seen. Pay attention to how the grounds photos connect: walking paths, the dog park, and where the parking sits relative to the buildings.
What can apartment photos not tell you before a tour?
Photos cannot tell you how much light a specific apartment gets, how a closet holds your actual wardrobe, or what the drive feels like at rush hour. Those are the details that decide whether a place feels like home.
Light depends on which way a unit faces and which floor it is on, and a gallery photo is one moment on one day. Walk-in closets look roomy in pictures, but a rack of winter coats tells the real story. If you can, ask to see units on more than one floor.
The same goes for the commute. A photo will not show you how long it takes to get from our parking lot to Wilson Medical Center at 6:30 in the morning, or how quickly you reach I-95 if you work toward Raleigh. Drive it once before you sign. If the route works, it will keep working.
Which details should you confirm in person?
Bring a short list and check each item against the apartment you would actually rent, not just the model. These are the ones renters most often wish they had checked:
Natural light in the living room and bedrooms at the time of day you are usually home. Closet depth and shelving, ideally measured against your own storage. The appliance package, including the stainless steel appliances, microwave, dishwasher, and the in-unit washer and dryer. The view and noise from the private balcony. Open the dishwasher and the closet doors yourself.
Square footage is worth seeing in person, too. Our floor plans run from roughly 818 square feet for The Heritage one bedroom to 1,176 for The Tar Heel two bedroom and 1,308 for The Depot three bedroom. A tape measure and a list of your bigger furniture pieces will answer most layout questions on the spot.
Why does a tour settle what the photos cannot?
A tour lets you compare the real space with the pictures you already know, and that comparison usually answers the questions the gallery raised.
We recently showed the community to a woman planning an out-of-state move. She brought her sister along for moral support. They had both studied the gallery but could not agree on how much daylight the living rooms would get.
Once they were standing in the apartment, they looked around and held it up against the online photos. A few hushed conversations later, her sister was suggesting where the posters should hang and where the furniture would go.
That is usually how it goes. Our office is open Monday through Saturday, with hours until 7:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so an after-work visit is easy to fit in.
